2009 OAP Special Event License Plate
New for this year's 19th Annual Orphan Auto Picnic will be an Illinois Special Event License plate. The introduction of featured marques at the OAP is a great excuse to include them on a license plate. The plates can be displayed for 60 days prior to the OAP on any passenger car including those with Antique Vehicle plates, B trucks or Recreational Vehicles (less than 8000 lbs.). The vehicle must be currently registered in Illinois. Collector Sets can be puchased by non-llinois residents. These sets are not registered to a vehicle, however the State still requires Drivers License info and vehicle registration to be submitted for Collector Sets.
Studebaker and Packard are featured this year. Production is limited to just 50 sets of plates so order early. If we receive more than 50 orders by the end of February we can increase the order with the State. Plate numbers from 2 to 50 can be reserved on a first come first served basis. Number 1 will be auctioned off at the February General Meeting Sweets Auction.
